Introduction

Quiriyo ("we", "us", "our") provides an AI-powered study companion for CA Foundation students. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use our service, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.

Information we collect

When you use Quiriyo, we collect:

• Account information — your phone number when you sign up. We use this to identify your account and contact you about your subscription.
• Chat content — the questions you ask and the responses we generate. We store this to maintain your conversation history and to track your progress across CA Foundation papers.
• Usage data — information about how you use the service, including which papers you study, how often you ask questions, and which features you interact with.
• Technical data — information automatically collected by our analytics and error monitoring tools, including browser type, device type, transient IP address, and error reports if something goes wrong.

We do not collect your real name, address, payment card details (these go directly to our payment processor), or social media accounts.

How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide the service, including answering your questions and tracking your progress
• Improve our AI responses and identify areas where students struggle most
• Send you account-related communications (subscription confirmations, important service notices)
• Monitor and fix errors
• Comply with our legal obligations

Service providers we share data with

We use a small number of trusted service providers to operate Quiriyo. They process data on our behalf and are bound by their own privacy commitments:

• Supabase — stores your account information, chat history, and progress data.
• Anthropic — processes your chat messages to generate AI responses. Anthropic does not use API inputs to train their models under their API terms.
• PostHog — collects analytics about how the service is used so we can improve the product.
• Sentry — collects error reports when something goes wrong, so we can fix it.
• Razorpay — processes subscription payments. We never see or store your card details.

Data retention

We keep your chat messages and progress data for as long as your account is active. If you cancel your subscription, we retain your data for up to 90 days in case you reactivate. After that, your data is deleted from our active systems and removed from backups within 30 days.

We may retain anonymised, aggregated data (with no personal identifiers) for service-improvement purposes indefinitely.

Your rights

You can:

• Request a copy of the data we hold about you
• Ask us to correct inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your account and associated data
• Withdraw consent for analytics tracking

Children

Quiriyo is intended for students aged 16 and above. If you are under 18, please use the service with parental knowledge.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We'll change the "Last updated" date above and, for significant changes, notify you via email or in-app notice.
